Jenny: Looks good. I need to figure out where to post stuff for what we are trying to do in the Dominican Republic. We have a date, April 16, to do a laptop-based multimedia event (Laptopalooza-GCC) Need to look into some way to get all the events unified for easy viewing. As I posted on the Ning here earlier, not sure what we should be doing about that.
Anyhow, Cheers.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for making contact. We used your video to get our students thinking about the motivation behind the project at the launch. We have approx. 30 Yr 9 students (girl's school) working with the project. We have a concert scheduled for April 19th and have 4-5 acts who are going to perform. The girls are currently investigating how to best get the concert staged, publicity we need, and school based initiatives to get us all thinking about how we can best reduce our carbon footprint. They are all incredibly enthusistic and are focused on the reasons why we are doing this. They are wanting to make a difference and see this as a wonderful opportunity. We have a Wiki page that we are working with to collect our ideas so you might like to check it out. I'm pretty sure this link will give you access without needing a password;

I'm on a school camp this week with two weeks holidays backing onto this - the girls are meeting this week and have agreed to meet on the holidays to keep momentum going. I'm hoping that my absence at camp is not going to stall the good work and enthusiasm that has been evident so far. Really pleased you have made contact - i was very impressed with your video and it's great to know of another educator who is trying to make something happen for April.

Jenny Luca.

Hi Amy: Thanks for pointing out your site and GreenOptions. I'll be heading over to them. Youth definitely need to be given more counterpoints to what is in the popular media. I really like the idea of "flipping harmful media messages inside out" and deconstructing greenwashing. There is a large void that is not being addressed in education today.
Thanks, Bill

William, interested in your work with youth...love the OBB project...As I just mentioned to Clay, I'm starting to do some blogging with the Green Options media site...you might want to come aboard there too? They run about ten blogs in the green sphere...and could prove to be a resource for your ongoing work (see the top banner for their indiv. links)
http://greenoptions.com/

Our new effort deconstructing media/mktg./greenwashing etc. is not named yet, but should launch in March at some point...

As for me, I blog at ShapingYouth.org (media/mktg's impact on kids) and deal w/counter-marketing programs flipping harmful media messages inside out...to shift to a more positive track...

Back to deadlines...best, Amy

Brilliant.

Beyond posting it on my blog, I'd rather invite you to post it yourself as a guest-poster. Interested?

What I've been wanting someone, anyone, to do, and haven't done myself, you have.

I hope you'll consider.

Or else a podcast interview. Maybe one of my students in PGC interviewing you? Patrick Nam interviewed me recently, and is very motivated in PGC.

Let me know, and really, thanks for this.

By the way, do you know Jeff Dungan by any chance? At the same school?

Hi William,
Sorry to take so long to welcome you. Let us know if there's any way we can collab with you and/or your students.
Love the videos.
